The need for Black and Brown Scholar’s to enter the field of Information Technology
Getting your high school education is great, but it will only take you so far and usually the public schools give you just enough information to get a job at McDonalds, Dick’s or working in the mall at a shoe store. And that’s ok if that’s were you want to be, but if you want to make a life changing opportunity not only for yourself, but for the generations that come behind you then Information technology can be that vehicle to help get you there.
When you hear people talking about great paying jobs today, they are usually referring to IT or Engineering. This is where you can take advantage of this opportunity as one our Black and Brown scholars to thrive and flourish. We need you join our IT program because the industry needs more Black and Brown scholars and most importantly our community needs you and your IT skills.

What We Intend to Do
Throughout the school year and summer there will be a variety of learning activities for you such as coding boot camps. You will also be learning how to create amazing websites. We will be taking tours to a variety of IT companies like Microsoft and gaming companies like Big Fish which is a world leader in the gaming industry. We will have some opportunities for summer internships that will increase your knowledge and skills. We are going to cultivate your leadership skills so you can become great mentors for future black and brown scholars.
